White Sands is on the eastern side of Zanzibar island and has one of the best locations in Paje - a minute's walk away from the beach front! The nearest airport is located an hour away on the west side of the island close to Stone town (51 km).
The resort has 11 sizable villas which are designed to blend natural beauty with high standard quality design. The majority of villas have their own private pool, however, for the few villas that don’t, there is a shared pool for all guests to enjoy. By the pool there is the rooftop champagne bar and other amenities such as a fitness studio and a boutique. Towards the beach front there is a ‘beach BBQ restaurant’ which serves freshly grilled seafood and organic salads for lunch. For evening dining, the main restaurant overlooks the large central pool where guest will be served first-class cuisine that blends locally inspired dished with international flavours.
The White Sands offers plenty of activities for guests to get involved in during their stay, including a full or half day trip to Stone Town which would be perfectly matched with a half day trip to prison island to see the giant tortoise (some of which are over 100 years old). There is also a dolphin tour where guests get an experience of a life time swimming with the dolphins in their natural habitat. Guest also will have the opportunity to go on the ‘safari blue’ - a day trip full of snorkelling, sunbathing and a lunch buffet.
