Shooting Star Lodge is a simple but picturesque hotel located on the northeast coast of Zanzibar Island on the Indian Ocean. Overlooking the pleasant white sand of Kiwengwa Beach, this small beach lodge is set some 30m above the shore, giving panoramic views from the rooftop of their two villas.

Guest accommodation comprises two exclusive villas, 11 sea-view cottages and three garden rooms. Traditional Zanzibari interiors combined with white lime-washed walls create the ambience of a true tropical haven. The villas have three floors with two en-suite bedrooms and a roof terrace with bath and private plunge pool. The cottages are light and spacious with en-suite bathrooms and private verandas. Some cottages have two levels which are ideal for families. The restaurant serves fine African food, including seafood, grills and traditional Zanzibari cuisine, and provides a cosy atmosphere and friendly service.
