Ocean Paradise

Ocean Paradise is situated on Zanzibar’s beautiful northeast coast looking directly out onto the Indian Ocean. From Zanzibar Airport, the resort is a 45-minute drive through traditional African villages and unspoilt landscape. Lush green gardens line the resort’s impressive driveway, while the white sandy beach and grand swimming pool make an enticing view as you enter the hotel.

The resort hotel is made up of 86 rooms and eight suites. The buildings have all been built in a traditional style using natural, locally sourced materials. The rooms, constructed in traditional African rondavels, are furnished with all the comforts a modern tourist needs including air conditioning, ceiling fans, satellite television, telephone, mini-bar and hair dryer. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and twin or king-sized beds. Most rooms look out onto the sea and have large patio doors that open out onto the landscaped gardens. There are also larger family bungalows for bigger groups. The choice of dining is broad as there are three restaurants on site serving a variety of meals including themed buffets, wood-fired pizzas and Zanzibar fusion cuisine.

Zanzibar Island is well-known for its crystal-clear waters and extensive marine life, making it an ideal destination for diving. Ocean Paradise resort has its own PADI approved dive centre and provides courses from beginner to experienced levels. Other activities to enjoy on the water include sailing, windsurfing and kayaking, as well as boat trips and dolphin tours. Back on land, Zanzibar offers a variety of excursions including a visit to Stonetown, Spice Farms or the Jozani Forest, to name but a few. In Ocean Paradise Resort itself you will find a well-equipped fitness centre, the largest swimming pool in Zanzibar and a spa offering a variety of treatments.
