Kilindi Zanzibar is based in the Kendwa area on the northwest coast of Zanzibar Island. Set above a beautiful beach, the resort is surrounded by lush, tropical gardens. Its style combines eastern influences with Scandinavian minimalism as it was originally designed for the Abba band member, Benny Andersson.
Guest accommodation comprises 15 whitewashed domed pavilions with their own private plunge pool. The pavilions are made up of two separate buildings – one for the bedroom and one for the bathroom. The bedrooms use traditional wooden shutters to allow the ocean air to flow through. The bathroom annex has a rainfall shower room that provides spectacular views of the ocean. Each suite has an extensive open patio, lounge area and a private butler to provide a dedicated service.
The Kilindi spa provides tailor-made treatments that promise to relax, detox and revive.
