The bedrooms are a combination of traditional furnishing and modern comforts with antique furniture, locally-crafted four-poster beds, wi-fi and air-conditioning. There are two luxurious suites on the uppermost floor that provide stunning views of Stone Town. Stone Town itself offers multiple opportunities for exploration: The Old Fort, the House of Wonders and the Palace Museum are all worth a visit. Shopping in the markets is a great way to find wonderful souvenirs, meanwhile local festivals of lively music and colourful processions take place in February and July. Excursions out of the town include local spice tours, day trips to the beach, a visit to Prison Island and the Jozani Forest national park. Several diving operators provide dive trips from Stone Town and the hotel staff will advise on the best ones to choose. Back at the hotel, you can relax with a variety of treatments in their luxury spa.
