Serena Serengeti Safari Lodge

Centrally located near the famous Western Corridor and Grumeti River, the Serena Serentegi Safari Lodge has been designed to blend into the natural landscape.

This family-friendly lodge, although simple, has good facilities and is impressive - with guest rooms in circular rondavel 'huts' designed loosely around a traditional Masai village. The property consists of 66 thatched stone rooms that are spaced out along the outer edge of the hill overlooking the sweeping grasslands below. A cleverly designed water feature surrounds the main public areas creating a cool and tranquil area to escape from the African sun and there is also a nice infinity pool overlooking the savannah.

It's central location makes it an ideal base, particularly for families, from which to explore the Serengeti at most times of the year. Activities include action packed game drives, with a healthy population of ‘the big 5’ and front row seats for the annual great migration. Alternatively, interesting cultural visits can be arranged to the world-famous 2-million-year-old paleoanthropological site of Ol Duvai, ‘birthplace of mankind', the lodge has been styled to offer a showcase of cultural performance, heritage and traditional art.

Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is both child and family friendly by offering family rooms and suites (adjoining rooms and triple rooms or additional beds), and cots and babysitting services can be provided (prior notice appreciated). The lodge also offers child orientated wildlife and educational activities and restaurant menu's that are children friendly.
