In Swahili, Chaka means “bush” - the home of animals. Inspired by this theme, Chaka Mobile Camp is designed to create experiences for our guests that perfectly balance the novelty of adventure and the familiarity of home. The camp moves seasonally with the wildlife migration from Ndutu to Kogatende.
With just ten tents (king, twin, triple and family), Chaka Mobile Camp offers an authentic and intimate bush experience in the heart of the Serengeti wilderness. The tents are comfortable with private shaded verandas and unique luxuries, and whilst the tent walls are certainly thick enough to keep the wild things out, they remain thin enough to let the wild sounds in. The en-suite bathrooms have flush toilets, running water and safari-style bucket showers.
Chaka Mobile Camp is a retreat for travellers who have spent their days exploring the African bush on thrilling game drives. We offer excellent dining options with local flavours of Tanzania, thoughtfully constructed lounges and the full stack of modern amenities. Campfire nights give guests a spot beneath the African starscape to swap stories, because most importantly, Chaka Mobile Camp is a place for sharing memories and creating new ones.
