If you’re looking for something a little different for your honeymoon, with unusual wildlife, dramatic national parks, and some of the best beaches in the world, then Madagascar is the place for you. Whether you’re after two weeks of wildlife and culture, visiting local villages and exploring the interior, or some serious relaxation time on the coast, with snorkelling along the reefs and even whale watching, a tailor made Madagascar honeymoon is one you’ll never forget. Accommodation in Madagascar varies greatly in price and quality, from the upmarket and quite pricey Tsarabanjina, to Ile Saint Marie where good standard rooms can be found along with great beaches and amazing whale watching during the summer months. The Nosy Be Archipelago also offers some stunning beaches, but be aware that some don’t live up to their billing and we generally suggest stopping off at Nosy Komba, its smaller, quieter sister.

You can combine Madagascar with either Mauritius or the Seychelles if you want a few days at a 5* beach resort at the end of your honeymoon, but we reckon you’ll make better use of your time by staying in Madagascar and exploring the coast here.
