A small, intimate camp in the Masai Mara
The Mara expedition camp has five traditional tents in the path of the migration
The Mara Expedition Camp has been built on a small bend in the Ntiakitiak river that forms part of route of the annual wildebeest and zebra migration. Upon arrival guests will land at the Kiombo airstrip, a short 45-minute drive from the camp. The sister camp, Mara Plains Camp, is based just a few kilometres away in the Mara Olare Motorogi Conservancy.
The camp has five tents sleeping two per tent (an additional bed can be added). The accommodation comes furnished with flushing toilets, bucket showers and hot and cold running water. The camp has a comfortable lounge and dining area for socialising with other guests on an evening or relaxing after a game drive. The camp is not fenced which immerses guest into the reserve.
In the morning guests are woken with a cup of tea or coffee to begin their day of game drives in an open 4-wheel drive vehicle. Hot air balloon flights are also available for an additional cost.
