The itinerary…

Day 1: Prepare for take-off

Leave home and check-in for your flight from Manchester (or other selected UK airport) to Maun, via Doha and Johannesburg.

Day 2 : Let the Safari Begin!

Planet Baobab

Planet Baobab Pool

Upon arrival into Maun, meet your Letsapa Tour representative who will transfer you in approximately 2.5 hours to Planet Baobab where you’ll stay for the next three nights.

After settling into your hut, take a walk with your guide through the surrounding bush as he explains the local ecology and geology and the unique biology of the baobabs. Enjoy a refreshing sundowner drink before returning to the camp for dinner and your first night in a traditional Bakalanga Hut.

Day 3-4: Ntwetwe Saltpan

Cheetah At Tau Pan In The Central Kalahari Botswana

Cheetah at Kalahari salt pan

Wake up early, before the sun rises, and head off into the vast grasslands, past lonely baobab sentinels to the edge of Ntwetwe Saltpan. Along the way, your Guide will explain the incredible adaptations of the species that are unique to the Kalahari Desert environment.

Head off with your Guide to explore the surrounds in search of bat-eared foxes, ground squirrels and other unique desert species. Learn of their incredible struggle against the elements of Africa's harshest wilderness.

Day 5: Scenic Flight into the Delta

Okavango Delta Aeriel View

View over the Okavango Delta

Wake up to a perfect Kalahari sunrise and a good Planet Baobab breakfast followed by your return journey to Maun.

Enjoy an incredible light aircraft, scenic flight into Kwara airstrip, just north of Chief’s Island in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The Okavango Delta is where the wild things are: an immense, waterlogged oasis alive with elephants and birdlife, adrift in the middle of Kalahari sands. The real magic of the Delta lies in its water, trickling through from far away highlands, and spreading across the channels and floodplains. During winter in the Kalahari, when the sun has baked the earth bare and turned the desert its driest, water fills the Okavango; transforming the floodplains into a Noah’s Ark of African wildlife.

Your all inclusive stay at Kwando Safari’s new Splash Camp for three nights will be the highlight of your Botswana safari.

Day 6-7: Scenic Flight to the Namib border

Bakwena Lodge Dining 2

Batwena luxury eco-lodge

After your lovely Splash Camp breakfast, enjoy your scenic flight direct to Kasane airport, at the Northern Botswana/Namibia border.

Meet your Chobe Bakwena Lodge representative who will transfer you to Chobe Bakwena, a luxury eco-lodge where you’ll stay for the next two nights in a chalet. Your rate is fully inclusive, excluding premium spirits and visa fees for Namibia or Zimbabwe.

Wake up the following morning and explore Chobe National Park. The Chobe Riverfront is an elephant mecca; home to the largest density of African elephants in the world.

Day 8: Victoria Falls

Bayete Guest Lodge Pool

The Pool at Bayete Guest Lodge

After a final bush breakfast, meet your Wild Horizons driver for a one hour road transfer to Bayete Guest Lodge, a 10 minute walk from Victoria Falls. You will stay in two executive rooms on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 9: Rafting, Helicopters, Devil’s Pool and Walks

Victoria Falls Helicopter Flights

Victoria Falls Helicopter Flights

Aside from being a UNESCO world heritage site and a natural world wonder, Victoria Falls also forms a natural border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. Spend your last day in Africa (for now…) bungee jumping, sky diving, or canoeing down the Zambezi River.

Day 10: Safari Days are Over

Buy some final souvenirs in the markets and then be transferred in about 20 minutes by your Wild Horizons driver, to Victoria Falls Airport.

You will check in for your first flight to Johannesburg O R Tambo airport where you will connect to your Manchester flight (or other selected UK airport), via Doha.
