Will On A Microlight Flight

Susan and her son Will flew to Johannesburg, the capital of South Africa, where they caught a short connecting flight to the Kruger region, famous for wildlife safaris. Find out why South Africa makes for a brilliant family holiday!

The Suite Life

Susan and Will stayed in the The Hambleden Suite, an exclusive villa with two separate rooms, mini-bar, huge bathroom with copper bath and indoor and large outdoor showers. There is also a private pool as well as indoor and outdoor lounge areas.

“Sleep Out” Deck

During their stay they opted for one night on the sleep out deck to add a touch more adventure to their luxurious experience. The "Sleep Out" is a viewing deck with a four-poster bed where guests can enjoy dinner under the stars and spend the night in the bush - perfect for anyone looking for an exhilarating experience or as part of a South Africa honeymoon.

Will's Microlight Flight

We did the microlight flight in the morning at Little Garonga. Whilst we had both booked a slot, it was just Will who did the microlight flight as it is weather dependent and the weather turned, rain and wind appeared as if from out of nowhere. Take off was very smooth but it was a hairy landing which made it all the more exciting. - Susan

Will wore a Go Pro during his flight and saw wildlife from the sky but the take off was captured by Mum Susan safely with both feet on the runway. Take a look at this video of Will's Take Off here:
