Eva & Jaime’s Lunar Moonbow, Microlight Flight & Zambia Safari

Eva & Jaime visited Victoria Falls on holiday, as well as South Luangwa National Park in Zambia in April 2019 with Far & Wild Travel. Here's what she had to say about her trip:

We have been completely spoilt during this safari and Rebecca & Florence made it happen just the way we wanted! :) The microlight flight was the highlight - a must on this trip! And the sunset on the Lady Cruise was beautiful.

Eva’s safari coincided with the Lunar Rainbow Tour at Victoria Falls. Lunar rainbows occur during the high-water period from February to August. The National Heritage Commission (the body in charge of this world heritage site) opens the park from 1800-2400 the night preceding the full moon, the night of full moon and the night after the full moon. We can book this in advance on your Far & Wild holiday, but do be aware that if the weather Gods aren’t playing in your favour and it’s cloudy you may have to change your plans.

After Vic Falls, Eva & Jaime stayed at Flatdogs Camp in Zambia.

Flatdogs staff, food and facilities were spot on. During our time in South Luangwa we saw 5 female lions hunt a Pumba, three male lions, one which we could nearly touch for how close it was to the car! Millions of elephants including baby ones, giraffes, a crocodile killing a baby hippo :( and three leopards (!). I had done a safari before but nothing like this one, having the option of doing night safaris when all the action takes place and walking safaris made our trip. We will recommend to everyone.

We wanted to thank you both for organising this wonderful trip for us. It far exceeded our expectations! We saw everything we could have possibly seen, weather was amazing and both lodges were great :) thanks a lot!!
