World class flats, blue water fly-fishing & BIG Game fishing
Fishing Paradise starts here
Big Game fishing and Fly/Bone fishing is a real bonus when done in the warm waters of the Seychelles, and the top place to go is Alphonse Island which offers it all. You really don't need to look any further...
Imagine expansive flats which surround the Alphonse Atolls and you are imagining your fishing dream, which will become a reality. There are tens of thousands of hard white sand flats providing lots of easy wading and world class sight fishing. Here is one of the most famed saltwater fly fishing destinations in the Indian Ocean and the best in the world for Bone fishing.
The fantastic diversity gives Anglers the oportunity to fish for many species during your stay here, home to incredibly large populations of not only Bonefish, but also 3 different types of Triggerfish, Barracuda, Snapper, Grouper, Permit, Parrotfish, 8 species of Trevally (including the Giant Trevally), and the incomparable Milkfish.
The guides and managers here are world class and you will have the help and guidence of 8 full time fishing guides. Anglers will fish in pairs sharing a skiff and guide. All of the guides are in radio contact so you will be sure not to miss anything. You will be transported to nearby St Francis logoon by boat to board your skiffs
Equipment
You will be given a list of things to take with you, and there is a fully equiped shop at the fishing centre on Alphonse where you can purchase and hire the rest of the equipment needed.
Game Fishing
Take to the waters around Alphonse and St Francis for this incredible experience, the waters here are ideal for offshore fishing. You can fish with fly or trawling. Fish such as Sailfish, Wahoo, Dogtooth Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna and Dorado can be challenged on any given day. Anglers can choose to either spend a half or full day targeting some of the hard fighting fish on offer.
Fish can be caught for consumption. Guests are therefore invited to bring their catch back to shore and liaise with our chefs to prepare it fresh for dinner.
The structure and sheer drop-offs are ideal for attracting a variety of pelagic species that can be caught on fly as well as conventional trawling methods. Fish such as Sailfish, Wahoo, Dogtooth Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna and Dorado can be challenged on any given day. Anglers can choose to either spend a half or full day targeting some of the hard fighting fish on offer.
There are 2 boats in service one is a 33ft wakl around Lee Cat and the other a 44ft Powershuttle Catamaran both come with a captain and deckhand.
At Alphonse you will be fishing along side some of the most experienced recreational Anglers in the Seychelles who are there to help YOU.
Again there is an excellent range of equipment at the Fishing centre on Alphonse.
Dinner anyone?
Although there is a strict 'No Convential/Spin Fishing' on or close to the flats to help preserve the species that use the shallow reef as access points, fish can be caught for consumption. Guests are therefore invited to bring their catch back to shore and liaise with our chefs to prepare it fresh for dinner.
