Easy Cycling in Rajasthan

Take the overnight flight from wherever you are to New Delhi.

On arrival in Delhi you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Today head out with your guide to explore Old Delhi with its magnificent Red Fort, winding alleys and bazaars, and take a cycle rickshaw to the magnificent mosque at Jama Masjid. Later on stop at the tomb of the emperor Humayun, and the medieval tower at the Qutab Minar.

We will drive you to the airport to fly to Jodhpur. The flight is just over an hour, and on arrival in Jodhpur we will meet you and take you to your hotel.

This morning enjoy a private guided tour of the blue city, including the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort which looms over the blue city. After lunch we will drive you out of the city to do some cycling through the countryside and through Bishnoi villages where you can meet local communities in their homes, see craftsmen at work and have a picnic. There’s plenty wildlife to see out here.

First we will drive you out of town away from the busy road and traffic, and drop you at the start of the quiet country roads and dirt tracks. Now you can start cycling through small villages to your destination, the beautiful boutique heritage hotel at Rohet Garh.

Your luggage will be carried separately so you can enjoy the cycling. You also have the option of spending the night in the luxurious nearby of Mihir Garh.

Today is part driving and part cycling, onwards to the small town of Deogarh. The countryside here is some of the prettiest in Rajasthan, on quiet roads with very little traffic. You should arrive at Deogarh before lunch, and check in to the beautiful family-run heritage hotel of Dev Shree.

In the evening head out for a jeep safari and sundowner in the surrounding countryside.

It’s a day for exploring the surrounding area, which makes for some of the best cycling in Rajasthan. The lake nearby is teeming with birds and makes a good stop for lunch. You can also ride on a country train through hilly terrain and forests

Set off this morning to drive to the stunning Ranakpur temples - we can drive you part of the way if you do not want to cycle the full 55 miles. From Ranakpur we will drive you on to yet another beautiful rural heritage property, the former hilltop fort palace of Devi Garh. It’s a mix of tradition and elegant luxury.

Spend today exploring the surrounding area on cycles, stopping at nearby Jain temples and passing through the traditional Delwara village. See the intricate stone carvings at the 8th century Eklingji temples and the ancient ruins of Nagda.

It’s time to say goodbye to your trusty cycles and travel half an hour by car to Udaipur, the city of lakes.

After checking in you have all day to explore Rajasthan’s most romantic city, set around three large lakes and surrounded by ancient mountains. We will give you a guided tour of the town, including the City Palace, the gardens at Sahelion-ki-Bari and Jagdish Temple.

Check out of your hotel before noon, and we will drive you to Udaipur airport to fly Delhi and board your connecting flight home.
