Overwater villas open straight to the lagoon

Kagi is place where every detail, from fresh, nourishing cuisine to yoga on the deck, encourages you to reconnect with yourself and with nature.

Location
Kagi Maldives is a boutique island retreat in the North Malé Atoll, just a 60-minute speedboat ride from Malé, the main airport of The Maldives. Small, intimate, and surrounded by clear waters, this is a place where you can fully switch off, slow down, and savour the beauty of island life.

Rooms
With only 50 villas, Kagi feels wonderfully personal and exclusive. You can choose from Beach Pool Villas set directly on the sand, Lagoon Pool Villas with a private deck for stepping straight into the water, or Ocean Pool Villas suspended over the lagoon with panoramic sea views. Guests love the sense of privacy in every villa, with light-filled interiors, soothing natural tones, and private pools as standard.

Amenities
At the heart of the island is the Baani Spa, an overwater haven dedicated to wellness and relaxation. We love the focus on balance here, whether it’s yoga at sunrise, a refreshing swim in the infinity pool, or cocktails on the beach at sunset. Dining is equally thoughtful, from international favourites to fresh Maldivian seafood, with settings that range from relaxed toes-in-the-sand meals to elegant overwater restaurants.

Activities
You can spend your days snorkelling vibrant reefs, diving with manta rays, or heading out on dolphin cruises. Guests love the guided yoga sessions and meditation workshops, as well as simply drifting between their pool, the spa, and the beach. For something more adventurous, paddleboarding and kayaking are available too.

Sustainability
Kagi takes a conscious approach, with eco-friendly building practices, reef-safe initiatives, and a commitment to supporting local communities.

January

January is one of the most popular times to visit the Maldives, with plenty of sunshine and high temperatures its great for a beach holiday - if you love snorkelling and diving the visibility is high thanks to the calm weather conditions.

February

Much like January, temperatures in February stay at a steady 30 degrees, the combination of beautiful weather conditions and good watersports making it a great time to visit, especially if you love sea life.

March

March experiences high temperatures and low humidity levels, making it the perfect time for a beach holiday.

April

April is another great month to travel, with sunny, warm days. During the end of the month there is an increased risk of rain.

May

Temperatures in May remain warm with long periods of sunshine, but with the start of the South West Monsoon season rains and storms are likely. The unsettled weather, means there is lower visibility, so diving and snorkelling isn't as good as previous months.

June

During June, temperatures remain warm with sunny days. With the chances of rain and storms increasing it gives guests a perfect excuse to explore the islands' spas and facilities.

July

The South West Monsoon season continues into July, meaning rains are probable despite the warm sunny days.

August

Weather remains the same in August, and the lower prices and attractive offers make it a great time to visit.

September

Weather remains the same in September, and the lower prices and attractive offers make it a great time to visit.

October

As with preceding months, warm temperatures and sunshine are balanced with increased rain showers and storms. During October is a great time to spot whale sharks and manta rays as they come to feed on the increased plankton in the Indian Ocean.

November

As with preceding months, warm temperatures and sunshine are balanced with increased rain showers and storms. During November is a great time to spot whale sharks and manta rays.

December

Early December can present good value for money before the festive peak, as with previous months the weather can be unpredictable with increasing storms and rain showers.
