An exceptional luxury resort set in a lush tropical garden along the Le Morne peninsula lagoon.
Location
On the south-west tip of Mauritius, beneath the dramatic backdrop of Le Morne Brabant mountain, LUX* Le Morne enjoys one of the island’s most striking settings. The beach here stretches wide and golden, with calm lagoon waters lapping at the shore. This part of Mauritius is known for its slower pace, where sunsets are breathtaking and days seem to linger a little longer.
Rooms
There are 149 rooms and suites, each designed with soft neutral tones, wooden accents, and plenty of natural light. Private terraces open onto tropical gardens or directly to the beach, creating a relaxed, barefoot feel. Guests love the calm, uncluttered style, where the focus is always on the ocean just beyond your window.
Amenities
Four swimming pools are scattered through the gardens, while the spa offers outdoor treatment cabins shaded by palms. Dining is varied, from fresh seafood by the beach to Mauritian-inspired flavours in the main restaurant. As with all LUX* properties, the little touches stand out: iced coffee carts, homemade gelato, and pop-up beach bars that make the day feel special.
Activities
This is one of the best spots in Mauritius for outdoor adventure. You can snorkel or kayak straight from the beach, try kite surfing in the lagoon, or join guided hikes up Le Morne mountain. Dolphin-watching trips and catamaran cruises are easily arranged, while the resort’s wellness programme includes yoga on the sand at sunrise.
Sustainability
LUX* Le Morne is deeply involved in protecting its surroundings. The resort is plastic-free, sources ingredients from local farmers, and invests in solar energy. It also supports marine conservation projects in the lagoon and partners with local organisations to preserve the natural beauty of Le Morne’s UNESCO World Heritage landscape.

January
January is prone to cyclones and rain, so if you're looking for a beach holiday this is not a reliable time to travel.
February
February is the most active period during the cyclone season in Mauritius, so we would avoid travelling at this time
March
In March the weather is hot and humid, with sporadic rainfall as the end of the cyclone season comes to a close. It is a popular time for travellers as the temperatures aren't too high.
April
If you're wanting to travel in April expect hot weather with temperatures rising to 30 degrees with increasing humidity levels.
May
May is one of the best and most popular month to travel to Mauritius, with temperatures hovering over the 25 degrees mark, with easing humidity making for a comfortable climate.
June
During June the temperatures cool to 24 degrees due to the trade winds on the east and south coast of Mauritius, offering warm and sunny days.
July
The temperatures cool again in July, as the trade winds pick up making some of the more open beaches less sheltered and breezy. It is a popular time to travel due to the summer holidays starting in the Northern Hemisphere.
August
Much like July, August experiences increased winds with warm days perfect for watersports and the islands more sheltered beaches. During the evenings temperatures become cooler and you may appreciate a few more layers.
September
In September the trade winds die down and temperatures rise once again, making it the perfect time for snorkelling as diving as the water clarity increases thanks to the calm weather conditions.
October
October is the islands driest month with temperatures exceeding 25 degrees. If you love nature Mauritius is overflowing with exotic flowers and wildlife as everything comes into bloom, making it the best time for mountain hikes and trips to the country's national parks.
November
In November temperatures start to rise again, as does the humidity as the country progresses into its cyclone season. The weather can be unpredictable with small rain showers, meaning it is still a good time to travel to Mauritius.
December
As the festive season looms, December is one of the busiest months for visitors in Mauritius. As humidity builds up, heavy rain showers occur helping lowering the humidity and clearing the heavy skies.
