Kinasi Lodge is a small luxury lodge built originally as a family home and opened to guests in 1996. Built with natural materials and traditional palm thatching, the lodge overlooks Chole Bay and the islands of Chole, Jibondo and Juani. The eclectic design of Kinasi Lodge reflects the African, Moroccan and Italian influences that have gone into its creation.
The 14 cottages Kinasi Lodge has to offer are set apart from one another to allow privacy, and all contain spacious rooms decorated with hand-made furniture. They each have an elevated wooden veranda, an en-suite bathroom, and king-sized beds. The rooms have been designed for ease and comfort, catching the refreshing sea breeze throughout the day. The excellent Swahili cuisine provided at the lodge is ideal for seafood lovers with fresh fish, prawns, crab, lobster, octopus and calamari on the menu.
For guests at Kinasi Lodge, there are a range of beauty and therapy treatments available at their spa. For water sport enthusiasts Kinasi provides a fully equipped on-site diving center, as well as the option to arrange windsurfing, sailing, and kayak hire on the beach. For quieter water-based activities, guests can make use of the swimming pool for a refreshing dip or relax poolside on the sun loungers.
