Located within the Tarangire National Park
Large herds of elephants can often be seen lingering near the grounds of the Tarangire Safari Lodge
Originally built in 1970’s Tarangire Safari Lodge is one of the oldest lodges in the park, situated 10kmk inside the main gate it really is in the heart off the parks busiest area. The main areas of the lodge include the lounge, dining room and swimming pool, all overlooking the stunning view over the baobab and acacia woodlands.
The Tarangire Safari Lodge has 35 tents and 5 bungalows, all decorated with cultural touches and local textiles. The tents have thatched roofs and tented sides so that you really are immersed into the sights and sounds of nature. The bungalows can accommodate 3-4 beds, perfect for families. All accommodation has en-suite bathrooms with solar heated showers.
Game drive through the park, night drives and bush walks along the rover can all be booked in advance. Relaxing at the Lodge is also a great way to see the herds of elephants that after wander by, they are most commonly seen from June-Dec.
