A glorious retreat just outside of Camp's Bay
The perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of central Cape Town
Crouched on a wild, fynbos -studded hillside of eponymous mountain range, the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa is a truly outstanding hotel, perfect for repeat visitors to Cape Town who want somewhere tranquil to relax and indeed first-time travellers who are looking for a quiet base from which to explore the Mother City.
With 70 individually designed rooms and suites, the hotel is modestly sized, allowing for a wonderful atmosphere to prevail, but without ever feeling overly busy or crowded. Rooms face out to the mountain at the back of the hotel or out to sea and we love the sea view rooms, which are especially atmospheric as the sun sets across the Atlantic Ocean. They come with all of the amenities you could possibly wish for, with the bathrooms equipped with the hotels own-brand toiletries. There are two superb restaurants here, with the sea-facing fine dining restaurant Azure consistently rated amongst the best in Cape Town - no mean feat given the range of outstanding eateries on offer. The Leopard Bar is always buzzing with a wonderful selection of local wines, beers and craft gins on offer for guests to enjoy. In the summer the outdoor terrace is an especially popular place to relax and soak up the sunshine. With 2 outdoor swimming pools, a superb spa and even a cinema in the property, there is plenty to keep you occupied, with the walking trails from the back of the hotel an especially popular way to spend an afternoon.
All-in-all this is a truly outstanding hotel and a wonderful choice for your time in Cape Town. A constant feature of any stay here is the superb staff, who really go out of their way to ensure that your stay in Cape Town, and at the Twelve Apostles, is a truly memorable one.
