Singita Kwitonda Lodge

Situated on the boundary of the Parc National des Volcans, Kwitonda Lodge is immersed in 178 acres of lush meadows and wetlands. With stunning uninterrupted views of the mountainous, forested national park, the sustainable lodge sits snugly within the dramatic Virunga Volcano Chain, with Lake Edward to the north and Lake Kivu in the south. Kwitonda is accessible by both road and air, just a short journey from nearby Kigali airport. The gentle, regenerative personality of Kwitonda runs throughout the lodge, encompassing locally sourced materials, bespoke art and friendly staff.

The accommodation comprises 8 enormous suites, (7 with one bedroom, and 1 with two bedrooms) as well as 1 four bedroom Villa (Kataza House). Each suite offers a cosy indoor fireplace, as well as a private terrace with heated dipping pool and outdoor fireplace, perfect for those chilly evenings. The suites provide private dining areas and tranquil rest space, as well as spacious bathrooms allowing for spa and massage treatments to help you unwind for some post-gorilla trek relaxation. In addition, the 4-bedroom Kataza House has indoor and outdoor living and dining rooms, an informal lounge, gym and full kitchen. Furthermore, the main lodge has a bar and deli, wine cellar and interactive kitchen, where you can tuck into a choice of traditional and locally sourced fresh culinary delights.

This lodge provides easy accessibility to some of Rwanda's top gorilla trekking trails, where 350 mountain gorillas find sanctuary. The hustle and bustle of the vibrant Musanze market is just a 20 minute journey from Kwitonda, with the nearby Iby'wacu Cultural Village boasting fun and interactive displays of Rwanda's rich traditions.
