The itinerary…
Day 1: Take to the Skies!

Tent View over the Mara
Fly overnight to Nairobi, then embark on an afternoon bush flight to the Masai Mara.
Just hours after leaving the UK you will be in the heart of the African wilderness in the Naibosho Conservancy, as you make your way to Ol Seki Hemingways Mara Camp.
You’ll be greeted by an Ol Seki representative who will guide you to your large and luxurious tented safari suite, with 270-degree views over the Mara plains. You'll be staying here for the next three nights. If you’re looking to witness some of the most abundant wildlife in Kenya in comfortable family accommodation, then this camp has it covered.
Day 2: Safari time

Game Drive at Ol Seki
It's time to explore the Naboisho Conservancy on exhilarating safari drives, guided game walks and cultural Maasai village visits. With your own private family vehicle, you'll have greater flexibility whilst out on a drive, meaning you could go on sundowner safaris or night time drives.
Rates include return domestic flights, two game drives per day and one-night game drive, meals, house drinks, a bush breakfast (weather dependent) and daily conservancy fees and taxes.
Day 3: Searching for lions

Lion spotting
Head off on safari again today and see what else you can spot. Ol Seki is the perfect basecamp in an area that has one of the highest densities of lions, so if seeing these majestic cats up close is high on your list, it's the ideal place to stay. Keep an eye out for the 'Ol Seki Pride', named after several of the cubs were born right below camp! If you’re lucky you may also see some of the rarest animals in Kenya - wild dogs.
Day 4 : Off to the Coast

Luxury Airy Rooms at Hemingways Watamu
From beautiful bushland to pristine coastline. After breakfast you will take a morning flight over to Malindi, landing in the afternoon with much of the day still ahead of you.
Reach Hemingways Watamu after a 30-minute airport transfer driving through the Watamu Marine National Park as you make your way to Kenyan coastal luxury. You’ll stay in a newly refurbished bright and airy modern room, with an en-suite and private balcony offering exceptional views of the Indian Ocean.
After a long day of travelling you can relax and refresh on the sparkling white sandy beach, or by one of the hotel’s many pools. There's a spa here too for the ultimate indulgence.
Rates include return domestic flights, use of gym and tennis court, snorkelling trip on a glass bottom boat (Marine Park Fees are excluded), breakfast and evening meals.
Day 5 : Sun Sand and Surf

Kite Surfing Lessons at Watamu
Hemingways Watamu is much more than a bucket and spade holiday, there is a whole host of exciting activities for all the family to enjoy. Watamu Marine National Park is a great spot for snorkelling and diving, with an underwater world brimming with over 500 species, big and small, including whale sharks, dolphins and turtles. If you’re planning your family holiday between July and September the magnificent Humpback Whale migration will be taking place.
For thrill-seekers with energy to burn, there's kite-surfing and stand-up paddle boarding to try, or why not head out to sea on Hemingways’ own deep-sea fishing boat and try to catch Marlin, Sailfish and Swordfish. If you prefer being firmly on top of the water at a gentler pace you can take a romantic sunset dhow cruise on Mida Creek, exploring the national park more intimately.
Land based activities include exploring the extraordinary Arabuko-Sokoke Forest, the largest most intact coastal forest in East Africa. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to spot elephants as well as brilliantly-coloured butterflies.
Day 6: Release your inner Indiana Jones

Exploring the Gede ruins
Today you might like to head out to Gede, just a few minutes drive from the hotel, to explore the mysterious abandoned 13th century town hidden deep in the tropical forest. Its' proper Indiana Jones stuff! Keep an eye out for monkeys and bush buck whilst you're there, as well as an enormous whale skeleton which was found washed up on the beach a few years ago. Alternatively (or as well as!) spend the day at the beach, walking along the pristine white sand or even swimming in the warm turquoise sea. Buy a fresh coconut from a local vendor and have one of those 'this is the life' moments.
Day 7 : Relaxation is Key

Relax gazing over the Marine Reserve
Your final full day, after all the family safari excitement and exploring Watamu Marine National Park, this is your chance to relax into the Kenyan way of life before the reality of coming home kicks in. Sip on cocktails and lounge by one of the sparkling swimming pools with a good book before heading to the spa for a spot of pampering.
Day 8 : Homeward Bound
Time to say your final goodbyes to the luxury Hemingways Watamu resort, after breakfast and a final morning activity you’ll take your lunchtime departure flight to Nairobi.
After landing in Nairobi mid-afternoon, you will depart on your evening flight home.
