Explore Kenya in Style: Mara, Samburu & the Swahili Coast

This expertly curated 12 day journey through Kenya offers an unforgettable blend of adventure, wildlife, culture, and barefoot luxury - perfect for couples, honeymooners, families or anyone seeking an immersive and varied African experience. Starting off in the world-renowned plains of the Masai Mara to the rugged, lesser-explored landscapes of the Samburu, and finally relaxing on the stunning Manda Island, this itinerary delivers the very best of Kenya.

Your adventure begins in the Masai Mara, home to some of the highest concentrations of wildlife on the continent. Spend your days on thrilling game drives across the plains of the Mara Triangle and explore the dramatic Oloololo Escarpment on foot with expert guides. This regions offers a classic African experience, where lions, elephants, cheetahs, and the iconic Great Wildebeest Migration unfold against golden backdrops and endless views.

Next, journey north to the remote and dramatic Namunyak Conservancy in Samburu, where the landscape transforms into a breath-taking mix of mountains, acacia-dotted hills, and arid plains. Here you will discover a deeper connection with nature through unique experiences such as hiking in the Mathews Range, visiting the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary, and encountering the rich culture of the Samburu people. It's a wilder, more off-the-beaten-path safari the complements the Mara beautifully.

The final leg of your journey brings you to the remote paradise of Manda Bay on Kenya's northern coast - a barefoot luxury lodge set on a private stretch of the beach. This is pure relaxation: think white beaches, dhow sunset sails, and long, lazy days. Whether you are enjoying water sports, exploring the historical Lamu Old Town, or simply unwinding by the sea, this is the perfect way to end your Kenyan Adventure in style.

Ottilie, our Kenya specialist, says:

"This trip really is magical - it combines everything I absolutely love about Kenya. You get to experience two completely different safari landscapes, which makes it feel like two adventures in one. The Masai Mara being the classic, game-rich, open plains and incredible wildlife sightings around every corner to Samburu, which is just something else - its rugged, mountainous, and far less visited! It honestly feels like proper wilderness up there, and it's absolutely stunning. Finishing off on Manda Island which I can only describe as paradise. It is super exclusive, peaceful, and the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun before heading home."
