located in the Mara Confluence sector of the Masai Mara
In a well-known leopard spotting area, close to the famous Mara River that’s crossed during the great migration.
A well run, efficient camp- Mara Intrepids camp is a great place to stay for wildlife viewing in the famous Masai Mara. Mara Intrepids Club is located in the Mara Confluence sector of the Masai Mara in Southwest Kenya. This wildlife-rich location, close to the famous Mara River that’s crossed during the great migration, and in a well-known leopard spotting area. Plus, in 2004 some 75% of the footage for the BBC’s famous Big Cat Diary was shot near the camp.
The camp’s 30 raised tents are widely spread along the banks of the Talek River offering a private commune with nature. 2-bedroom family tents are available with a common sitting area and all feature modern en-suite bathrooms, decadent four-poster beds and private veranda sweeping views across the riverbank. The camp restaurant is usually visited at night by wide-eyed bush babies.
The camp offers three guided game reserve safaris everyday or you can indulge in a full day guided game safari to the Mara River with a packed picnic breakfast and/or lunch. True wilderness can be felt from this camp because this part of the reserve receives fewer visitors than the eastern part and as such it is possible to drive long periods without seeing another vehicle. Further activities include balloon or photographic safari in the camps purpose built vehicles.
