MEET LAURA

The first time I ever went on an international flight at the age of 24, I flew solo to Malaysia. The sticky metropolis of Kuala Lumpur was a world away from the sedate villages of Cumbria, and I was enthralled. From that moment, I have enjoyed being out of my comfort zone.

I have since travelled to 12 different countries solo, and to several more in company. I am always seeking new adventures and new connections and feel most at home when I’m away.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS

Kenya Safari – a holiday I’ll never forget. Seeing so many birds and mammals for the first ever time in their natural environment was a powerful experience.

Kyoto, Japan – incredibly beautiful and interesting. Welcoming people, fantastic food, and fascinating history, culture, and creativity.

Fisherman’s Trail, Portugal – four days hiking along Portugal’s Alentejo Coast with breathtaking scenery and many deserted natural beaches, and meeting interesting people along the way.

ON MY WISH LIST

Horse Riding Safari: Having ridden since the age of four, it would be a dream to experience the thrill of an African safari again, but from horseback.

Galapagos: I love wildlife and the opportunity to see new animal species in such a unique environment in a responsible way would be very special.
