Day 1 Head to your nearest international airport!
Time to set off on your Vietnam adventure.
Day 2 Hanoi welcomes you and your family
Upon landing at Noi Bai airport, our representative will swiftly take you to your hotel Pan Pacific where you are staying for 3 nights. After a quick check-in, the rest of the day is yours to unwind. Hanoi seamlessly blends modern elegance with ancient charm, preserving its past while embracing progress. Explore the Old Quarter, a lively maze with hidden gems. Your evening unfolds at Pan Pacific in a Premier Lake View room for a restful three night stay.
Day 3 Puppetry and street food in Hanoi
Embark on a curated day with a visit to Ba Dinh Square, exploring Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum, wooden bungalow, and museum. Admire French architecture, visit the One Pillar Pagoda, and explore the Thang Long Royal Citadel. Experience water puppetry at a local artisan's home, then enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnography, showcasing ethnic diversity. Dive into Hanoi's street food scene in the Old Quarter. Explore ’36 Streets,’ sampling local delights like pho and bun cha. Visit a traditional 'tube-house' for roasted peanuts, enjoy a local donut, and savour Hanoi's famous egg coffee.
Day 4 Hanoi's vibrant street life
Start at the French-inspired Opera House and explore traditional neighbourhoods. Pass the Hanoi University of Medicine's stunning architecture and visit Pasteur Park with the preserved Institute of Epidemiology. Discover Ha Ba Trung Lake and the temple dedicated to the Trung Sisters. Visit Quan Thanh Temple, Cua Bac Church, and stroll along the romantic Phan Dinh Phung Street. Lunch at a local restaurant, then explore landmarks like the French-built water tower and Long Bien Bridge. Conclude with a 20-minute cyclo ride through the Old Quarter, ending at Nha Tho church. Choose to continue exploring or return to Pan Pacific for a leisurely evening in a Premier Lake View room.
Day 5 Sailing Fun in Ha Long Bay
Embark on a thrilling 2.5-hour transfer to Ha Long Bay. Step onto our overnight cruise for an unforgettable day and night at sea, with welcome drinks, a cruise briefing, and an exhilarating lunch as you cruise through Ha Long Bay to Lan Ha Bay. Continue the adventure with a visit to Trung Trang cave on Cat Ba Island, showcasing a 300m-long cave with geological and historical wonders. Explore the less populated Tra Bau – Lan Ha Bay area and enjoy a swim in the green, emerald water. Re-board the cruise for a cooking demonstration or relax on the sundeck, observing the bay's sunset view. Admire the bay's night-time beauty, try squid fishing, or watch a movie in the restaurant.
Day 6 Fly to Danang, Hoi An
After a serene Tai Chi session on the sundeck, enjoy breakfast and continue the cruise. Engage in kayaking in the Ao Ech area exploring the hidden charm of Ha Long - Lan Ha Bay, before returning on board and brunch while cruising back. Disembark Orchid Cruises at Tuan Chau Marina. Return to Hanoi for your flight to Da Nang and a private transfer to your Hoi An hotel. Explore the UNESCO-listed town on foot or by bicycle, marvelling at its historic architecture and vibrant markets. Check-in at Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa in a Garden View room, where you will spend the next four nights.
Day 7 Playful days in Hoi An
This morning, head to Hanoi's Old Town for some crafting adventures. Begin at the iconic 400-year-old Japanese Bridge, venturing into hidden residential alleys with original gateways, local eateries, workshops, and family temples. Navigate through charming streets and hidden alleys, sipping coffee at the historic home featured in Graham Green’s 'The Quiet American'. Discover the artistry of Mr. Phong, a local mask-maker, and craft your mask under his guidance. Engage with a craftsman at a lantern workshop, learning the traditional art of lantern-making. Enjoy a delightful lunch and decide what you will do with the rest of your afternoon.
Day 8 Hoi An cooking and cruising
Embark on a captivating morning to Tra Que Village, known for its aromatic herbs. Explore organic gardens, engage with local farmers, and participate in gardening activities for our upcoming lunch. Cycle through picturesque rice field neighbourhoods, visit the 19th-century An My Assembly House, and explore a vibrant local market. Conclude the journey with a boat cruise along the Thu Bon River to a cooking class at Hoi An, led by a local chef. Tour the school's garden, partake in a 2-hour class, and enjoy lunch with a Vietnamese vegetable carving demonstration.
Day 9 Learn traditional Vietnamese techniques
Experience an exciting morning in Hoi An with river-based activities, including learning traditional fishing techniques and paddling bamboo basket boats through coconut palm-lined waterways. Immerse yourself in the local Vietnamese fisherman's way of life, with hands-on round net and cast net fishing. Try paddling a Vietnamese-style coracle boat under the guidance of village fishermen. After the water adventure, relax at your hotel or explore Hoi An's shopping paradise filled with paintings, silk, ceramics, lanterns, and more.
Day 10 Fly to Ho Chi Mihn City
Embark on an exciting day as you transfer from Hoi An to Da Nang airport for a mid-morning flight to Ho Chi Minh. Upon arrival, explore the largest Mahayana pagoda, Vinh Nghiem, in Phu Nhuan district. Built from 1964 to 1971 with Japanese influence, it stands as the city's prominent religious site. Afterward, wander through a typical residential neighborhood, discovering family-run shops, hidden cafes, and local markets. Enjoy a quick coffee at a 'garden café' before strolling through Tran Huu Trang market, a vibrant local market away from tourists. Finally, check in at Caravelle hotel in the city centre for a leisurely evening.
Day 11 Family Fun
Embark on a private motorbike adventure led by your expert guide. After a brief helmet fitting, navigate through Ho Chi Minh's bustling streets, exploring a local market, a bird-filled park, and fashionable District 3. Discover Cho Lon's busy Chinese quarter, a vibrant flower market, and the serene Chua Van Phat Pagoda. Enjoy lunch at a hidden café. In the afternoon, visit the Reunification Palace and iconic landmarks like Notre Dame Cathedral, the Post Office, and City Hall. Choose between the Museum of Vietnamese History, Fine Arts Museum, or War Remnants Museum. Return to your hotel or explore Ben Thanh market. Overnight at Caravelle in a Deluxe room.
Day 12 Mekong Delta Magic
Embark on a family-friendly day at a local farm, immersing in traditional practices. Meet a chef, explore the eco-friendly gardens, and learn about diverse agriculture, including animals, rice fields, and more. In the kitchen, prepare and enjoy healthy dishes with farm-fresh ingredients. Visit a nearby village to discover rice paper production and try your hand at making it. Explore a rubber plantation to understand its local impact and witness milking at a dairy farm. Continue to the Cu Chi tunnels, a testament to Vietnam's resilience during the war. Delve into the tunnels or explore above ground, but be prepared for possible sweat and dust.
Day 13 Cultural experiences for all the family
Embark on a 2-hour drive to Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta. Experience the countryside with a tri-motorcycle ride through Huu Dinh hamlet. Board the Mango Cruise for a scenic journey, visiting a coconut processing site and a traditional brick-making shop. Take a 4 km bicycle trip around Phong Nam village, exploring gardens and a coconut spirits factory. Enjoy a personalized rowing sampan trip through small canals and a 5-course lunch at a riverside restaurant. Cycle to Mr. Sau Tuong's house to learn about rice paper making. Return to Ben Tre city and transfer back to Saigon. Head to the airport for the flight home, with assistance for check-in and immigration procedures. Arrive at Tan Son Nhat airport late afternoon.
