Discover South Cebu's rich heritage and thrilling adventures

Discover South Cebu: A short tour of Osmeña Peak, Kawasan Falls, Bojo River & Moalboal’s Sardine Run

We made this trip for visitors to the Philippines who want to do more than just skim the surface. If you're into landscapes that make you stop and stare, a bit of adrenaline, and the kind of cultural experiences that stick with you long after you’re home, Cebu is going to hit the spot.

You'll hike up Osmeña Peak for sweeping views, scramble through canyons in Badian with a local guide, and snorkel in the crystal waters of Moalboal. But it’s not just about the thrills — this trip also takes you into the heart of Cebuano culture. You'll wander through Argao’s charming old town, visit the striking Simala Shrine, and meet the makers of traditional tablea (chocolate disks) and torta (sponge cake). There’s a peaceful river cruise in Bojo, plenty of home-cooked meals, and time to soak it all in.

This is a trip that balances energy and ease — ideal for anyone who wants to get under the skin of the Philippines, not just lounge about all day (though there's plenty of time for that, too!).

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 A Taste of Cebu’s Heritage & Countryside

Welcome to Cebu! We’ll drive you down the coast to Argao, stopping to explore the heritage town of Carcar along the way — think old colonial houses, buzzing markets, and delicious street snacks like chicharon and lechon. After that, we’ll head to a peaceful organic farm in Aloguinsan for a fresh, home-cooked lunch, followed by a gentle cruise along the Bojo River where you might spot herons or kingfishers. You’ll finish the day with dinner and a warm welcome at the laid-back Cebu Beach Club — your base for the next few days.

Day 2 Sacred Shrines & Sweet Delights

Today’s a mix of the sacred and the sweet. We’ll visit the striking Simala Shrine, a peaceful hilltop spot that draws pilgrims from all over the country. Lunch is at a heritage café in an old ancestral house, and then it’s back to Argao for a hands-on visit to a tablea workshop — you’ll see how local chocolate is made, and taste Argao’s famous torta sponge cake. The afternoon is yours to explore town or just relax by the sea.

Day 3 Hike to New Heights at Osmeña Peak

Day 4 Canyoneering Adventure at Kawasan Falls

Day 5 Underwater Wonders of Moalboal

Day 6 Departure with Lasting Memories
