Located around 34 km north of Kota Kinabalu and about 40 minutes by car from the airport, Shangri‑La Rasa Ria Resort sits on Pantai Dalit beach within a 400‑acre tropical estate. A 64‑acre private forest reserve forms an ecological sanctuary at the resort’s edge, backed by views of UNESCO-listed Mount Kinabalu and fringed by the South China Sea.

The resort offers 494 stylish guest rooms and suites across two wings. The Garden Wing features 326 rooms with garden and rainforest views, while the Ocean Wing provides 173 luxurious suites with private reception areas, exclusive pool access and uninterrupted sea views.

Sustainability
Rasa Ria is a pioneer in sustainable hospitality , being the first hotel in Malaysia and in the Shangri‑La group to earn ISO 20121 event certification. It has achieved significant waste-diversion (more than 60 %) and reduced energy consumption by 6 per cent since 2019. Built within a protected reserve, the resort leads initiatives in pangolin protection, tree planting, glass-bottle recycling, and supports community livelihood programs.
