Such a personal and relaxed atmosphere for guests, a significant number return repeatedly and become more like family members.
Location
The location means that the closest entrance to Kruger is a short 15 minutes’ drive from the lodge. In addition, the lodge is also ideally situated to enjoy day tours of the fascinating country of Swaziland as well as the famous Blyde River Canyon – part of the beautiful Panorama Route.
Rooms
There are just 12 double rooms all of which are en suite. Four of the rooms have queen sized beds and the others are twin bedded.
Amenities
There is a spacious lounge area where guests can choose to relax either in the company of fellow travellers or in more secluded areas should they prefer more privacy. There is also a small plunge pool to relax with a refreshing drink. The common areas and bedrooms are furnished in a tasteful fusion of the old colonial style with a modern twist. The breakfast area is situated on an elevated section of the open lounge area overlooking the natural beauty of the bush surrounding the lodge.
Activities
Often non-human visitors such as giraffe and zebra come to see you at the lodge as Marloth Park is an area containing the general game. The bird life is fascinating and abundant around the lodge itself. This means that for those guests that would like some exercise it is possible to walk unaccompanied to the Kruger National Parks fence line where you may see a variety of animals within Kruger come down to the Crocodile River. The observation point is a mere 15 minutes walk from the lodge where you can sit and relax or continue walking for as long as you want to!
