Wake up in the morning and be swept away by a choir of birdsong; and in the evening be mesmerised by magical sunsets and the sights and sounds of the forest. Take a leisurely stroll through the tropical forest, which leads all the way to the spectacular lookout point. This is life on Principe Island, just a 40 min flight from Sao Tome. Given the island's privileged location (virtually on the Greenwich meridian and just off the Equator), it offers ideal conditions in terms of visibility and water temperature for underwater sports. The reefs are made largely of hard corals and interesting rock formations. A large variety of marine life exists including snapper, goat fish, barracuda, turtles, eels, lazy nurse sharks, stony coral, gorgonian sea fans, and volcanic boulders coated in anemone like hard corals of vibrant orange/red and yellow colours.
The statuesque Roca Belo Monte Manor house offers three beautifully appointed, individual suites. It includes a Private Boardroom and Guest Lounge with Tea Terrace that has a magnificent view. All rooms offer air-conditioning, personal espresso machine, satellite television & free (if intermittent!) WIFI internet. Suites can be booked individually as hotel rooms. Alternatively, the first floor can be booked as a unit, or you can book the Manor House as a full unit. Private chef and butler services can also be arranged.

Enjoy two of the most alluring and idyllic beaches in the world. The beautiful Praia Banana (Banana Beach – made famous by a Bacardi ad) and Praia Das Burras (Beach of the Donkeys) will offer you the tropical beach experience of a lifetime. Explore the Island by quad bike with a guide, or take an open-backed or air-conditioned vehicle driven by a guide for excursions and activities across the island. Explore the secluded beaches, make the most of the bird watching opportunities from the 6-seater Boston Whaler boat, or try a variety of guided and non-guided hikes, from 30 minute walks around the plantation, to full day mountain hikes with an experienced guide.
