Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Odzala-Kokoua National Park

Staying at Ngaga Lodge

Your journey begins with a private flight from Brazzaville to Mboko airstrip in Odzala-Kokoua National Park. Departing at 1 pm (on Mondays or Thursdays), the flight takes approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival, the Kamba team will welcome you and guide you on a 2–3-hour safari drive through the park's stunning savanna and rainforest. You'll arrive at your home for the next three nights, Ngaga Lodge, where you can settle in and enjoy the surroundings. This evening, gather around the fire for a briefing about gorilla tracking to prepare for your adventure ahead.

Day 2 Primate Encounters Await

On day 2 you'll set out on your first gorilla trek in the dense forests around Ngaga Lodge. Led by expert trackers, you'll spend the morning navigating the forest trails in search of Western Lowland Gorillas, an experience that promises close-up encounters with these fascinating primates. The trek can take around 2-4 hours, depending on the gorillas' location, and is a truly rewarding adventure. In the afternoon, unwind at the lodge, or opt for a guided walk through the surrounding rainforest to discover the region's other wildlife. Meals and drinks are included at the lodge.
