A large, modern 4-star seaside hotel, The Strand is on Swakopund’s ‘Mole’ sea wall at a small beach. (Swimming is safe but bear in mind these Atlantic waters are very cold).
Popular with visitors and residents alike, the hotel has lively bars, four restaurants, a lobby-lounge, sea-facing terraces, a beach kiosk and a banqueting centre. Café Mole has a convivial atmosphere and is a fun place at which to enjoy a coffee and cake. Also conducive to socialising and relaxing is the Welwitchia Lounge, Bar & Terrace.
There is a well -equipped spa; a roof-top garden terrace, fireplace and a gymnaseum. The foyer is well lit with uninterrupted sea views and a neat lounge.
All the rooms and suites have en-suite bathrooms, minbar and air-conditioning. If you want a sea view and balcony, go for a luxury room or suite. To book activities, speak with the Activities & Adventure Office.
