Located on the shores of the Nanatha bay in northern Mozambique, Nuarro Lodge has been built from natural materials by the local community. The 12 bungalows are spread among more than 2km of beachfront and have been designed to blend in with the natural surroundings as much as possible.
The accommodation is varied and ranges from double room cottages with king-sized beds, to family-friendly chalets with a king-sized bed and two single beds. The bungalows feature hand-made furniture and open-plan bathrooms with both indoor and outdoor showers and an eco-toilet. The lodge supplies plenty of plugs for electronics and uses 24-hour solar generated power. There is a beach bar and restaurant providing stunning views over the bay while you dine on fresh seafood and international cuisine, or sip a cold cocktail.
This resort is particularly exciting for those seeking diving excursions as Nuarro Lodge is the only lodge in Mozambique offering rebreather courses, diving with underwater scooters and glow diving. Nuarro is also a fantastic place for whale watching and you can even hear the beautiful whale song with hydrophones. After all your excursions, why not enjoy the beauty of the beach with a relaxing massage under the trees.
