Hotel Tofo Mar

Hotel Tofo Mar is located on the edge of the scintillating clear waters of the Indian Ocean with direct access to the beach and extensive views. Just 18 km from Inhambane in Mozambique this is easily accessible. The hotel has been recently renovated and still maintains its unique art deco features. It is the perfect spot for divers and even those who prefer a more leisurely pace on holiday with a cocktail in hand thanks to its generous sun deck area.

The accommodation consists of 13 modern rooms (8 double rooms, 3 deluxe bedrooms and 2 suites), all rooms are equipped with an in room safe, air-conditioning, telephone, Wi-Fi and en-suite bathroom. The restaurant prides itself on using the most seasonal produce in its dishes mixing Portuguese influences and local flavours. Furthermore, Hotel Tofo Mar aims to enrich the local community by training local young people in the restaurant in order to help them flourish. Sitting on the sundeck is a magical way to end a day watching the golden hues of a panoramic sunset painted across the sky.

The surrounding coral reefs and wildlife make it a great place for diving and snorkelling, and next to the hotel is the Diversity Diving School, one of Africa’s best equipped diving centres. We recommend going on the two-hour ocean safari offered by the diving school, which enables you to swim up close and personal with magnificent gentle giants - whalesharks - in crystal clear waters. If diving does not appeal, another way to explore the area is by taking part in horse riding, all organised by the hotel.
