Serian Camp

Serian was the first of Alex Walker’s camps and it was designed to be a retreat from the bustle of contemporary life by offering the chance to experience untamed Africa in traditional tented splendour. Located in the Mara North Conservancy, Serian Camp is set in a secluded valley where the stylish accommodation overlooks the waters of the Mara River. The furnishings suggest the safaris of a bygone era with natural colours of carpets on hardwood flooring and draping cottons that set off the colonial-style furniture and canvas walls.

There are five large tents including one family tent. Each tent is unique with large double beds and the adjoining bush bathrooms include a bathtub and shower, twin basins and a flush toilet. The tents have been privately situated and the design is eco-chic with swathes of cotton and canvas walls. Power is provided by solar electricity.
