This itinerary is suited for a single traveller and couples: the set tour takes guests into the heart of Botswana; the small group tour will enjoy an 18 day tour, with an extra day added to either side. The Leopard Safari tour begins in Maun and heads north to the Kalahari Game Reserve, before reaching the Okavango Delta and the Mormemi Game Reserve. Finally the tour comes to an end at Victoria Falls - one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

The itinerary…

Day 1: Hit the Skies

Check into London Heathrow (or other selected UK airport) and fly overnight to Johannesburg.

Day 2: Maun

Depart from Johannesburg to Maun, where you will be collected by a Maun Lodge representative, and transferred to the lodge to stay for one night.

Day 3: Safari Begins

After an early morning breakfast head to the pre-arranged meeting point in Maun at 07h30. You will travel 180km to a game farm on the northern boarder of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, where you will set up camp and have a safari briefing. In the afternoon you will take part in a nature walk led by local San Bushman trackers; They will share their intricate bush knowledge and give you an insight into their unique and intriguing culture.

Day 4-7: Central Kalahari Game Reserve and Camping

You will wake up at sunrise and enter the largest game reserve in Botswana. Your next four days will be spent exploring, the undeveloped wilderness in the northern region of the Kalahari, moving from camp to camp.

Day 8: Okavango Delta

After your final morning game drive in the Kalahari you will return to Maun. In the Afternoon you have the option of taking a scenic flight over the Delta; This magical experience provides another perspective of the Okavango Delta’s distinctive water system – even large game can be spotted!

Day 9-11: Mokoro Excursions

Your adventure will take you to the southern tip of the Okavango Delta, a special corner of paradise. Once you have reached the edge of the Delta, you will meet your polers from the local community with their mokoros (traditional dugout canoes).

You will spend two days exploring the beautiful Delta area, with mokoro excursions and guided nature walks of the island and floodplains. In the evenings you will camp in the wild bush of the remote islands.

Day 12-13: Moremi Game Reserve

Early morning of day 10 you will enter Moremi Game Reserve, one of the best wilderness areas of Botswana. The next three days will be spent searching for the variety of wildlife and birds that this area is renowned for. Game drives in the early morning as the sun rises, and in the late afternoon as the sun sets, are the best times to see active wildlife. On day 12 you will move campsite to explore a different area of this diverse park.

Day 14-16: Chobe National Park - Camping

Chobe National Park, with its diverse and striking landscapes, will be your next destination. As you continue your search for wildlife you will traverse the drier region of Savuti where bull elephants dot the plains. Then head north to the Chobe river where your game drives will meander along the banks of the river. Camping will be in private designated areas, first in the Savuti area (day 14), then in the northern part of the park closer to the riverfront (day 15 & 16).

Day 17-19: Livingstone, Zambia

After a short morning game drive you will cross the Zambezi River by ferry and then drive to Livingstone on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls (visa required), where you will spend the night at a comfortable lodge. In the afternoon there will be time to visit the thunderous Victoria Falls and shop for curios. Dinner will be at your own expense at the lodge. The safari officially ends at 10h00 on Day 17. You will then spend an additional night at the Maramba River lodge.

Day 20: Time to Fly

Check out of the Maramba River Lodge, with an airport transfer to Livingstone airport, and check in for your flight to Johannesburg. Land in Jo’burg ready for your overnight flight back to the UK.

Day 21: Back Home

Arrive back the in UK the following morning after your incredible Vic falls and Safari adventure.
