The beach is always tranquil, since only non-motorised water sports, such as windsurfing, sailing, pedal boats, snorkelling and kayaking are on offer. Activities such as waterskiing, fishing and scuba diving can be arranged further afield.

Dining in the resort is a mix of local and international cuisine. Fresh from the ocean, the garden or nearby farms, the chefs offer local produce and imaginative choices. Cape-inspired dining at the Fish Shack, or simple, healthy fare from the wellness cuisine menu, there is something to suit everyone taste. Dining is generally a more relaxed than at other Mauritian resorts, making it particularly suitable for families. Personal tours of the Herb Garden can be taken, and picnics can be arranged in the beautiful gardens.

Activities include yoga, meditation, nature walks and treks, deep-sea fishing, tennis, cooking classes and golf, which is available at the nearby Avalon Golf Estate. For those who prefer to relax, the Shanti Spa is an absolute must.

Whilst the adults are relaxing, the children are guaranteed a great holiday too. The Kids Club is set in its own grounds beside the Shanti Spa. Facilities here include a splash pool, games room (including snooker, table football and tennis). The Explorers team organise a huge array of exciting activities for different age groups, ensuring your little ones are raring to go to the Explorers club each day.
