There are 6 Suites and 3 Family Suites here, with up to 24 guests accommodated at the lodge at the same time, although with so much space guests will never feel overrun by one another, even when the lodge is full. The bedrooms are wonderfully spacious and comfortable, with stone walls helping to keep them cool in the day and warm at night – a feature aided by the large open fireplaces which are such a striking feature of the rooms. Indoor and outdoor showers are found in the large bathrooms which come with all of the amenities one could wish for, whilst the outdoor decking areas are the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the afternoon sunshine, as well as being ideal for setting up romantic dinners. The main lodge is another beautifully designed space, with a dining room and bar area, as well as a deck with covered area and a sparkling swimming pool. With stunning views across the desert, this is a gloriously located lodge offering a truly incredible experience for visitors who make the journey up here.
One of the great joys of visiting Tswalu The Motse is that each room gets their own private vehicle and guide, meaning adventures through the desert can be completely tailored to individual interests. As well as game drives they offer guided walks and horseriding safaris, with wildlife such as lion, wild dog, meerkat and pangolin often spotted in this stunning reserve.
