Found deep in the Northern Cape, way off the beaten track but in a perfect spot for visiting the legendary Augrabies Falls, Dundi Lodge is a charming lodge where visitors can sit back, relax and enjoy this beautiful, but much under-visited part of South Africa.
The 11 bedrooms are all very spacious and comfortable, with some boasting a traditional country house style and others a more modern feel with light furnishings and dark wood floors. Well-appointed en-suite bathrooms come with all of the amenities one could require. There is a secluded courtyard area with a swimming pool and plenty of space for outdoor dining and an especially popular spot for lunches and afternoons relaxing. Indoors there is a lounge and bar area with a roaring fireplace for the winter evenings, as well as an excellent restaurant which is popular with both guests and outside visitors.
As well as being the ideal base for accessing Augrabies Falls, Dundi is excellent for visitors looking to explore the wider Kalahari Desert. Game drives, fly fishing, white water rafting and even overnight camping can all be organised in conjunction with the lodge’s sister company – Kalahari Out Ventures.
