Pel S Post

Pel's Post

Perfectly located in a vast and remote wilderness area of the Kruger National Park

Northern Kruger safari experience at it's finest

A private bush getaway located in a vast wilderness area of Northern Kruger

Pel's Post lies in the Makuleke Contractual Park, a vast and remote wilderness area bordered to the north by the Limpopo River and Zimbabwe and to the east by Crooks Corner and Mozambique.

The Big 5 Makuleke Contractual Park measures some 26 500 hectares and is well known for its abundant wildlife including less common species not evident in the southern and central regions of the park. Apart from large herds of elephant and buffalo, guests will be able to see Nyala, an antelope which is not easily found in the more southern regions of the park, and over 350 recorded bird species.

The diverse terrain of the region includes Mopane Woodlands, Fever Tree forests, Acacia thickets as well as some of the largest and oldest Baobab specimens.Pel’s Post accommodates only 8 guests in 4 unique stand-alone, open plan suites. A personal chef, private vehicle and guide offers guests the luxury of setting their own pace while on safari.

This intimate lodge, perched along the Luvuvhu river bank, offers unparalleled views of the vast remote wilderness and river below. Game drives and walking safaris are undertaken in what is arguably one of the most scenically beautiful and diverse wilderness areas in the Kruger National Park. Ideal for small groups and families looking to indulge in their own private bush getaway, or honeymooners and couples looking for a more exclusive, smaller lodge.

Our Difference

The Far & Wild Community...

We think that the best people to talk about an experience are those directly linked to it. Our website and brochures let the ‘real experts’ show their stuff… local experts, travellers & industry insiders. Look out for the coloured markers all around the site... they mean that you are reading something contributed directly by a person from one of these different parts of the community we are part of.

The best memories aren’t simply places and hotels, they are made up of experiences and people… that’s why our focus is on using our community to make your holiday COME TO LIFE.
