Ngala Safari Lodge

A stylish and comtemporary safari lodge in the very heart of big game country

The ideal base for exploring the wilds of the Timbavati Game Reserve.

A charming blend of traditional and modern lodges, few properties in the area can rival Ngala for the luxury and outstanding game viewing that it offers.

Tucked away in the idyllic wilderness of the Timbavati Game Reserve, a private wildlife area bordering the world-famous Kruger National Park, Ngala Safari Lodge is a contemporary safari lodge that appeals to visitors from around the world thanks to its glorious location and access to incredible wildlife viewing.

With 20 cottages, 3 two-bedroom cottages and a more private two-bedroom family suite, complete with its own private pool area, Ngala is a medium-sized safari lodge, but its large public areas and well spread rooms means guests never feel overrun by one another. Inside the cottages are very spacious and comfortable, with contemporary stylings blended with traditional touches and wonderful views out over the bush. The en-suite bathrooms come with all of the amenities one could wish for and the outdoor decking areas are a great spot to sit back, relax with a good book and enjoy the afternoon sunshine. The main area of the lodge is a lovely open space, with a dining area, bar and sprawling lounge, full of deep sofas and armchairs where guests can relax. The food and hospitality are superb, offering guests a world-class culinary experience to go with the outstanding game viewing for which the Timbavati is renowned.

The activities programme here includes morning and afternoon game drives as well as guided walks in the company of an armed guide. Guests staying here will enjoy amazing wildlife viewing with sightings of Africa’s fabled Big 5 common, along with more unusual species such as cheetah, wild dog and hyena.
