The Farmhouse Hotel

Gloriously located overlooking Langebaan lagoon

A charming and traditional base from which to explore the quiant Cape West Coast

The perfect spot for visiting the fishing villages and beaches of the region, a stay at The Farmhouse Hotel is always a wonderful experience.

Set overlooking the tranquil waters of Langebaan lagoon, The Farmhouse Hotel is a superb spot from which to explore this charming seaside village. With amazing seafood – fresh crayfish is a local speciality, unspoilt beaches and plenty of watersports, a few days here perfectly complements a visit to nearby Cape Town.

There are 15 bedrooms here, so it very much falls in to the boutique category of properties, being small enough to ensure a personal experience, but such is its popularity there is always a buzzing atmosphere, especially in the warmer summer months. There is a very traditional feel to the property, with many visitors feeling it resembles a Cornish style hotel, with terracotta floors, light airy rooms and cozy lounge areas with fireplaces and deep, comfortable sofas. The restaurant is a favourite with guests and locals alike, offering the chance to dine inside or out on the terrace which has glorious views out across the lagoon. A secluded swimming pool offers respite from the summer heat, whilst guests are able to enjoy a variety of watersports out on Langebaan Lagoon, which is renowned as one of the best kitesurfing spots in the whole of South Africa.

Whilst a visit to Langebaan doesn’t feature in many visitors’ plans when considering South Africa, those who do make the trip up here are charmed by this wonderful seaside town and there is no better base from which to explore it than The Farmhouse Hotel.
