It is definitely worth upgrading to the sea view rooms and the lovely panorama of the Atlantic that they offer. The sparkling swimming pool is a very popular spot for guests to relax and soak up the Cape Town sunshine, with staff always on hand to serve drinks and snacks. Indeed, food and drink are a real feature of the hotel and it is renowned as one of the best spots to eat in Cape Town. The Sunday jazz brunches at the hotel are a Cape Town institution and well worth enjoying whether you are staying at the hotel or not. The location of the hotel means it is easy to access all of the attractions of Cape Town by car and during the day you can also access the promenade which is home to some interesting sculptures and art installations from local artists.
