Anderssons at Ongava

Tucked away in the Ongava Game Reserve which shares an unfenced boundary with the Etosha National Park, Anderssons at Ongava is a beautiful property, recently redesigned to offer the ultimate Etosha experience with luxurious accommodation and access to unique activities.

There are just 8 suites here which are all spread well away from one another meaning a wonderful feeling of privacy when you are relaxing in your suite. The rooms are wonderfully spacious with mosquito net draped beds, separate sitting areas and large bathrooms which come equipped with all of the amenities that you could wish for. Large decking areas are found at the front of each room and these are the perfect spot to while away the sunny Etosha afternoons with a good book and a cool drink in hand. The main area of the lodge has a large open-air dining room, a sprawling lounge with an open fire and a very welcoming bar area. The infinity pool is a very popular spot and staff are on hand to serve drinks, as well as escort guests down to the photography hide which overlooks the waterhole by the camp. There is a small curio shop for forgotten essentials and gifts for those back home, as well as a small library with some excellent books on the history, ecology and wildlife of the region to enjoy.

As well as game drives in the Ongava Reserve, guests can visit the main Etosha National Park with their guides and have the chance to get off the vehicle and track rhinos within Ongava should an appropriate encounter arise. There is also the chance to visit the Ongava Research Centre, which offers a fascinating insight in to the past, present and future conservation work Ongava is involved in.
