Nambwa Tented Lodge

Nambwa Tented Lodge sits in the heart of the stunning Bwabwata National Park, a game rich part of the Caprivi Strip in the far east of Namibia. There are just 10 luxury tented suites at Nambwa, all of which are raised up on stilts to offer commanding views out over the pristine bush that surrounds the camp. Inside they are classically furnished with light woods and linens, indoor lounge areas and hardwood floors. Bed are draped with full length mosquito nets for guests’ comfort, the en-suite bathrooms are equipped with all of the amenities one could need and the baths are next to a large window to take advantage of the view. Large decks cover the front of each suite and are the perfect spot to relax in the afternoons. The main area of the lodge is accessed via a raised walkway from the suites and continues the lodges theme of classical stylings with plenty of space. There is an indoor lounge area, a convivial bar and a large dining area where guests can enjoy the excellent food for which Nambwa is renowned. The outdoor firepit which leads away from the lodge and looks out over the park is an immensely popular feature of the lodge and the perfect spot to enjoy evening drinks with the sights and sounds of the bush all around you.

The lodge’s location in the Bwabwata National Park means it is ideally located for exploring by vehicle, with lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo regularly seen on drives. They also offer boat trips, guided walks, village visits and sundowner drinks trips to Horseshoe Lagoon – a beautiful spot and an experience not to be missed.
