Situ Island Resort is on at the southernmost part of the Quirimbas Archipelago, and can be accessed with a boat ride from Pemba. Once at the lodge, the managers Tess and Craig are always on hand to make your stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible.
Accommodation consists of comfortable, solar-powered bungalows with en-suite bathrooms. Each bungalow is positioned to make the most of the sea view and have been built with timber frames and thatched rooves for that ‘Robinson Crusoe’ effect. The rooms all feature king-sized beds or three-quarter beds, making them ideal for varying group sizes. In the central Clubhouse, guests can enjoy generous meals of international cuisine, with the main feature their delicious fresh seafood. The entire island resort can be booked exclusively, making it ideal for groups and families who can make the most of the well-appointed space.
Activities at the resort centre around the fantastic coral reef and clear waters on the resort’s doorstep. Snorkelling is within close proximity of the lodge, and those with diving skills can venture a little further afield to any of the 18 coral reefs that offer sightings of incredible marine life. Sport fishing is another popular activity as the lodge has several boats available for charter. Kayaking is another great way to explore the mangrove channels surrounding the resort. Otherwise, simply relax on the beach and immerse yourself in an island paradise!
