Villa Sands is a stylish, boutique hotel in the province of Nampula, 180km east of Nampula town, on the Ilha de Mozambique. It has been carefully renovated from three 16th Century warehouse, and still maintains the classic architecture of the original buildings.
The accommodation consists of 11 spacious double rooms each one with a king-size bed, air-conditioning, and en-suite bathroom. Three of the rooms are on the rooftop terrace and have stunning views of the ocean, room service, and you will find a swimming pool on the same level. Another swimming pool is located on the seafront terrace, close to the bar and restaurant which serves modern food with an emphasis on the locally caught seafood.
Divers and snorkelers will be in paradise at Villa Sands as it is an ideal spot for water sports with pristine coral reefs and vast array of marine life. The hotel provides its own motorboat for daily excursions to nearby islands and reefs. Every year, between June and December, different whale species, such as Humpback and Southern Right, migrate through the warm waters off Mozambique, providing an amazing sight for guests lucky enough to spot them!
