Miti Miwiri is small, colonial style hotel located in Bairro Cimento, the town of Ibo Island. The best way to access the island is a short flight from Pemba, though boat journeys can also be arranged from Tadanhangue (only at high tide). Miti Miwiri provides excellent value accommodation on this historic island.
Miti Miwiri is a lovingly renovated colonial house surrounded by lush, tropical gardens. Their nine rooms can accommodate between two and four people per room, and have been decorated with simplicity and African heritage in mind. The spacious rooms are all en-suite with double beds and a private balcony. Miti Miwiri features a bar with a surprising array of cocktails and a restaurant offering a range of dishes with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine and, of course, fresh seafood.
The staff at Miti Miwiri can help you arrange plenty of activities on and around Ibo Island, including fascinating guided historical tours, boat safaris and dhow excursions, island visits, kayaking in the mangroves, bicycle hire and bird watching.
