An eco friendly safari camp overlooking a permanent watering hole
One of only two high quality camps within the enormous Central Kalahari Reserve
Tau Pan is a remote camp located inside the Central Kalahari Game reserve (a one-hour flight from Maun). The 100% solar operated camp has nine environmentally adapted en-suit rooms (including one family room). All rooms have an inside and outside shower accompanied with views overlooking the Kalahari. The décor of Tau Pan has been tailored to blend in with the landscape, the main deck has a plunge pool for guests to relax in whilst admiring the commanding views. On an evening guests will dine at the large communal table where they can share their safari experiences, further conversation can then be held at the fire pit which has a perfect position overlooking a permanent watering hole.
The safari camp operates game drives using a guide and tracker. Having the tracker out in front allows the guide to concentrate more on talking to guests making the game drive more personable. Nature Walks with the Bushmen from Central Kalahari are also offered along with stargazing under the stunning sky at night.
