My Time as a Marketing Intern at Far & Wild

As my time as a Marketing Intern at Far & Wild comes to an end, I can’t help but reflect on the incredible journey I’ve had with the team. It has truly been a whirlwind of learning, challenges, and exciting projects that have shaped me both professionally and personally. From the very beginning, Far & Wild welcomed me with open arms, allowing me to dive headfirst into some of the most pivotal projects in the company’s travel offerings.

One of the highlights of my internship was working on the launch of two incredible new destinations: the Republic of the Congo and the Caribbean. I was fortunate to be involved in various stages of the project, from developing webpages and crafting engaging content, to creating email campaigns and social media posts. The Republic of Congo, with its unique jungles and incredible wildlife, was a particular passion project. I got to see first hand how Far & Wild thoughtfully creates tailored travel experiences while promoting responsible tourism and sustainable travel practices. It was inspiring to contribute to the storytelling that would motivate travellers to experience such a unique destination.

The Caribbean, on the other hand, was a thrilling project as it allowed me to explore a more relaxed yet equally rich part of the world. Working on these campaigns taught me how to communicate the essence of these destinations, engaging audiences while highlighting the diverse culture, natural beauty, and authentic travel experiences that Far & Wild offers.

But beyond the specific projects, what really made my time at Far & Wild special was the people. The team is not only highly skilled but incredibly welcoming, ready to offer guidance and support whenever needed. From brainstorming sessions to being involved in team meetings, the culture at Far & Wild is one of collaboration and inclusivity. Everyone here is passionate about what they do, and that energy is contagious. The team is always open to sharing their knowledge, which has helped me expand my marketing skills far beyond what I initially imagined.

Through my time as a Marketing Intern, I learned how to execute successful digital marketing strategies, how to engage with various audiences through different platforms, and how to measure the impact of these efforts. I also gained invaluable insights into the travel industry, learning about everything from content marketing to SEO and email marketing. Each day was a learning experience, and I feel that I’ve come out of this internship not only with a stronger understanding of marketing but also with a newfound passion for travel and its potential to positively impact communities.
