You’ll hear the sanshin being played, see the Eisa dance in the streets, and get swept up in it all without needing to understand every detail.

Food is part of the experience here, and it’s different — heartier, earthier, with dishes like goya champuru and Okinawa soba that reflect the island’s story and setting. It’s the kind of place where even a simple meal can give you a sense of place.
